City University of Seattle Named Best University in the PNW for Fourth Consecutive Year

Seattle Times recognition marks four straight years of regional honors for CityU Seattle.

SEATTLE, WA, UNITED STATES, September 21, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — City University of Seattle (CityU) has been recognized by The Seattle Times’ Best in the PNW for the fourth consecutive year, continuing a four-year streak of recognition among the region’s colleges and universities.

The annual Best in the PNW program recognizes organizations across Washington and the Pacific Northwest based on community voting.

“To be recognized four years in a row is especially meaningful because this recognition comes from the PNW community we serve,” said Suzanne Walsh, president of City University of Seattle. “Our students are balancing work, family, military service and many other responsibilities, and they are still choosing to invest in their future. Every day, our faculty and staff make that same investment in our students. This recognition belongs to all of them.”

For more than 50 years, CityU has built its educational model around meeting students where they are. The university offers associate, bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees in areas including business and management, education, technology, health and social sciences.

CityU serves a diverse student population that includes working adults, career changers, military-connected students, and others seeking flexible pathways to advance their education and careers.

For more than five decades, CityU has focused on making higher education work for students whose lives may not fit the traditional college model. This recognition reflects the support and trust of the students, alumni, faculty, staff, and community members who are part of that work.
